1453-2000 backward basis of the film.

The film tells about the drama and action-packed story of a family belonging to the “Sayyid” family living in Istanbul. The film discusses the honor, struggle, anger and ambition that are accumulated by the ancient history which has last 552 years satisfyingly and vigorously. In this modern era, where politics, industry, economy, production and consumption have become the focal point of life, it introduces us the three important characters those who fight for the sacred ideal by leaving aside all general occupations. The main subject of the movie is conflict of faith. On the one hand, the noble Julius Family, on the other, the Devoted Sayyids, descended from the Prophet… The Julius Family has been looking for the Tabut-u Sekine for centuries. The family has half the map, which is in two parts. The other half of the map was captured by Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han during the conquest of Istanbul. Fatih Sultan Mehmet Han wrote a decree to Sayyid Davud Pasha, one of the commanders of his army, and consigned the map to him.

O Sayyid Davud Pasha! You;

are a brave command from the clean generation of Muhammad Mustafa (sav).

You are “al-Emin” like your ancestors.

You are the most qualified person to protect this relic that Haqq Taala has given us from the infidels.

It is my testament to you and your generation; You consider this relic more valuable than yourself.

If you and your generation do not respect our word, know that I’ll get in the world get hereafter on the Day of Judgment.”

A Sayyid has been protected the map from the attacks of the Julius Family since the period of Sayyid Davud Pasha until today in every generation. The person who undertook this task has been given the nickname “Devotee”. Since the Julius Family has a disproportionate force, the best way to protect the map is not to fight, but to hide silently. Devotion is a duty that requires a lonely and recluse life.

Whoever is given this duty from the family, it means that he is condemned to die while he is alive. Marrying or living like ordinary people involve risks for the safety of the map. Despite all these measures, each Devotee had to encounter with the Julius Family at least once in a whole lifetime.

The map has never been in the hands of the Julius Family throughout history. Devotees are those who are being cared about their scientific and spiritual education and are being raised according to this. Each Devotee must fulfill their subjective responsibility to be both a good servant and a great warrior. Attacks that are carried out against devotees will also be watched as flashbacks.

YEAR 2000

Devotee of the period is a Sayyid named Hüseyin Haşimoğlu.

Since his name and face were not known by the Julius family, he was given the name Gölgesiz. In his 40s, he is a marvelous fighting master. Throughout his life, the paths never crossed with the Julius Family. Gölgesiz, who travels city by city due to the nature of devotional duty, comes to Istanbul. He sees his older brother Lokman who is living in Kavacık and his nephew İlhan. He will go abroad the next day. He prepares a fake passport in return money to a dirty man who helps criminals. The person who is engage with passport causes the Gölgesiz to be exposed. That night, a 100-person death team assaulted to Gölgesiz. Gölgesiz kills 99 people; one of them survives as wounded. Gölgesiz, who is seriously injured, is tested with a very difficult and risky decision. That night, he entrusted the map to his brother İlhan. Minutes after İlhan received the map, a big explosion takes place and Gölgesiz known as dead by everyone. (And then he will appear in the moment of truth when needed.)

İlhan Haşimoğlu will undertake the task of Devotion in the most difficult and complicated phase of his life. He is an imposing and brave young man. But the modern age in which he lived influenced him as much as all young people, and even harmed him as much as they did. There are obvious lines and even inadequacies that distinguish İlhan from his ancestors from past to this time. Since he lost his parents at a very young age, he could not receive religious and moral education as satisfactorily as the other previous devotees. İlhan, who spend his childhood in boarding schools, started to live with his uncle Lokman Haşimoğlu in high school ages. He has nobody except his uncle Lokman, a sister, twins and a wife who died during the birth. İlhan’s life is full of deep scars and dramatic memories. He is a legendary intelligence officer who became famous with his nickname “Tokatlı” seven years before taking his ‘’devoted’’ duty. He loves someone so much. Cemre…

İlhan and Cemre had to break up because of the problem of religious perception and cultural difference. This situation has affected İlhan’s psychology in a negative way. The problem of anger control has showed up because of his alone childhood that he spent and deep scars revealed in the orphanage years. İlhan committed a crime at this stage and was dismissed from his profession.

His crime is to punish a massage parlor gang that abuses children with members and customers in an exemplary way. İlhan, who had been in prison for a while, completed his sentence and again took the responsibility of his family. He opened a fighting school with limited means and started teaching Hankando which is the hereditary martial art and is only known by his family. İlhan will come across with Cemre again in this caos, when he is the forced protector of the map. On the one hand, he will fight for the positive change of Cemre, on the other hand, he will have a great fight with the most ambitious leader of the Julius Family, Efendi Teodor. İlhan is living a life that no devotees had ever lived before. He has a family and children. The road ahead is now clear. He will either hide … Or take the map … Or he will wait and fight those who come … These are the options that stand in front of him. Apart from all these options, İlhan makes a choice that no devotee has made in the history.

What makes him different will actually be this choice.

At the end of the film, İlhan becomes the winner in his battle with Teodor.

He regains both the map, Cemre and his old profession.
